I have just noticed that Skype has shown up as a new download for Belle devices in the Nokia Store. The version number is v2.1.23.
I have just installed it on my N8 running Belle and I can confirm that it works!
We have been waiting for this news for a long time. Well done to folks over at Skype for getting the compatibility issues sorted in time for the Belle rollout which is rumoured to begin next week.
No, unfortunately it does not support video calling.
